Season 3 of Amazon Prime Video’s fantasy superhero series ‘The Boys’ has begun. Amazon Prime Turkey has censored some scenes of the first 3 episodes of the series, both in the visuals and in the subtitles and voiceovers.
In a scene at the beginning of the first episode of the new season of the series, scenes containing nudity were censored. Looking at the foreign version of the scene, it was seen that no blur effect was applied.
Abusive scenes were also censored
In addition to the scenes containing nudity, the platform transferred two scenes during a conversation between Homelander and Starlight characters in the 3rd season of the 3rd season, both in the voiceover and subtitle part, with censorship. In the first of the scenes, Homelander uses the phrase ‘Fucking Muslim’ while addressing Starlight, who is trying to introduce a Muslim hero into the team. In the scene on Amazon Prime Turkey, this part was translated by censoring profanity. It was also stated that during the original voiceover, the character’s voice was turned down during abusive scenes.
According to the news reported by Lost Rıhtım, in another scene, the Homelander character is again, “Captain Al-Qaeda? We’re Americans” uses expressions. In the Turkish subtitles and dubbing of the stage, the name of Al Qaeda was changed, “Captain Hand? We are Americans” form was used.
