Houthi stated that Israel and its allies will continue their attacks on US and UK ships.

Pointing out that the naval forces of the “Yemen Front” targeted 102 ships belonging to Israel, the USA and the UK in 202 days, Houthi said, “The military operations of the Yemen Front at sea continue and we are trying to expand and strengthen them in their new field in the Indian Ocean.” he said.

Houthi pointed out that the rate of operations targeting Israeli-linked ships reached one ship every two days, and said that the USA reduced navigation in the Red Sea by 80 percent, and that this was a great victory and success.

Warning that their operations will take place in a way that the US, Israel and the UK have never considered, Houthi said, “The US has shifted its navigation to distant routes such as the Indian Ocean, yet it faces an increasing danger day by day.” said.

SITUATION IN THE RED SEA

The Houthis, supported by Iran in Yemen, have been seizing commercial ships off the coast of Yemen, which they say are affiliated with Israeli companies, since October 31, 2023, as a reaction to Israel’s attacks in Gaza, and attacking some of them with unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles.

Following the actions of the Houthis, many shipping companies decided to stop their voyages in the Red Sea.

The USA announced that a multinational “maritime task force” called “Operation Welfare Guardian” was formed against the Houthi forces on December 18, 2023, with the participation of a group of countries, on the grounds that global maritime trade security was endangered.

Following the US and UK attacks on the regions under their control in Yemen, the Houthis announced that they would target all ships of these two countries.
