Meryem Ö., the mother of a 2-year-old baby Nisanur, who died after being sexually abused in Zonguldak, was burned in prison by pouring cologne on her.
According to the news of Mustafa Özdemir from the Wall, the mother Meryem Ö., who was arrested and sent to Beycuma M Type Prison after the investigation into the abuse of the baby, was injured yesterday when she poured cologne on the prisoners in the ward where she was staying and set it on fire. The woman with burns on her face and body was taken to Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital by prison transport.
Meryem Ö. was sent back to prison after her treatment there.
ONE OF THE PERSONS CHARGED WITH ABUSE DIED
One of the two people detained in Istanbul on suspicion of sexual abuse died while being brought to Zonguldak. While it was claimed that the death occurred as a result of torture, two police officers and a guard were arrested after the incident.
