Three pairs of sneakers, reportedly signed by Michael Jordan, one of the legendary names of the American Basketball League (NBA), were put out to tender on April 15.

The sales price of 3 pairs of sneakers in the Liquidation Warehouse No. 2 belonging to the Mersin Liquidation Operation Directorate (TİM) of the Ministry of Commerce was determined as 5 million liras.

The tender ended on April 19. However, no bids were made for the shoes during the tender period.

Thereupon, the Ministry put the shoes out to tender again on the same day. No bidders have yet been placed on the shoes in the tender, where the application process is still ongoing and a guarantee fee of 100 thousand liras is required.

The Ministry of Commerce stated that the sports shoes brought to customs by legal entities or real persons were kept in the warehouse because the customs clearance was not carried out in accordance with the legislation, and at the end of the legal period, the liquidation process was started and put out to tender for sale.

The tender statement said:
“3 Michael Jordan signed basketball shoes. The goods are in a waiting state. The goods are offered for sale in their current condition. The information about the goods in the system is informational. Bidders who bid in the system have seen and examined the e-tendered item in its current state and as it was submitted to the e-tender. After the delivery of the goods/vehicle to the buyer, the buyer will be responsible for obtaining any permissions or documents required for the placing, use or registration of the goods/vehicles on the market, and all financial burdens and obligations related to these will be carried out by the buyer. will be met.”
