Ankara Book Fair, held for the 20th time this year at ATO Congresium, opened its doors. The fair hosts more than 500 publishing houses and non-governmental organizations.

Fair coordinator Remzi Çayır made statements about the fair. Çayır stated that there were books for all segments of society at the fair and said, “Our aim is to deliver the book to large audiences. To bring the author and the reader together in the same place.”

Çayır, who stated that nearly 400 publishing houses were represented at the fair this year, noted that more than 1000 events such as signings, interviews, conferences and panels would be organized. The fair, prepared with the support of the Turkish News Cameramen Association and Medya-İş Union, will be held in Gaza on October 7. The book titled “The Gaza Blockade from the Pens of Journalists”, in which he tells the memories of the reporters who followed the Israeli attacks that started, was also included. Stating that 68 journalists from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Palestine wrote their memories in the book, Polatel stated that they dedicated the book to their colleagues who were martyred while working in that region.
