It was revealed that Defne State Hospital, which was the target of the discussions, was not defined as an official hospital after the construction works that continued after the opening by Erdoğan on Sunday, the provision of only polyclinic services, and the flooding in the first rain.

In the statement made on TTB’s Twitter account regarding the issue, it was reacted to the fact that its employees were forced to work for 6 additional hours before their deficiencies were corrected and they were not officially defined as a hospital.

Following the visit of the Minister of Health in Hatay Defne State Hospital, the TTB stated that 6 hours of additional work were added and the working hours were extended to 22.00 without giving any information to the physicians, as follows;

“It has been understood that a written assignment has not been made to the physicians who will work in the hospital, since the hospital was opened in a hurry and has not yet been officially defined as a hospital. Our Hatay Earthquake Coordination went to the hospital after complaints and met with the physicians and the management.

It is unacceptable that physicians/health workers are faced with the imposition of overtime and forced to exhaustion for the sake of election propaganda. We will continue to follow the irregularities in hospitals that are forced to serve without their deficiencies and be officially defined, and we will always stand by our colleagues.”
