End-to-end massacre: WhatsApp shares location of Gazans Israel is raining missiles

Reports revealed by Paul Biggar from “Technology for Palestine” revealed the fact that the Meta company, which includes WhatsApp and Facebook platforms, had a share in the massacre in Gaza. Reports state that Meta gave the Israeli army information about Palestinians sharing WhatsApp groups with certain individuals to feed the ‘Lavender’ system. (Lavender is an artificial intelligence program used by Israel to identify and bomb ‘human targets’.) Lavender can track locations by connecting to WhatsApp. With this system, the Israeli army can locate civilians and raid houses or continue the massacre and hit them with missiles. WhatsApp’s involvement in the massacre brought with it many suspicions. Meta has raised concerns about the reliability of WhatsApp, which it promotes as a private social network, including ‘end-to-end encryption’.
