Fernando Muslera, who has been guarding Galatasaray’s goalkeeper since the summer of 2011-2012, made a flash decision and left the national team.
In the statement made by the Uruguayan National Team, it was announced that the experienced goalkeeper ended his national team career and “Fernando Muslera announced his retirement from the Uruguayan National Team after 133 matches, four World Cups and the 2011 Copa América victory. The Uruguayan Football Federation thanks you very much.” statements were included.
Fernando Muslera, who played 133 official matches with the Uruguayan National Team, conceded 135 goals in these matches and kept a clean sheet in 54 matches.
The 37-year-old glove also won a Copa America championship with the Uruguayan National Team in 2011.
