Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that a Schengen visa is required for Turkish citizens who want to follow the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024), which will be hosted by Germany between 14 June and 14 July 2024.
The following statements were used in the statement made on the official website of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF):
“Our citizens who will be following the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024), which will be hosted by 10 cities in Germany between 14 June and 14 July 2024 and in which our National Team will take part, need a valid Schengen visa for this travel.
Our citizens who do not yet have a valid Schengen visa are kindly requested not to waste time so that their visa applications can be approved on time.
A special process has been created by the Consulate General of Germany in Istanbul to accelerate the applications for our citizens who have match tickets and will travel with a Turkish passport.
The details of this special process are as follows:
Schengen visa applications can only be made in person at the Consulate General of Germany in Istanbul. Both the ticket number and booking reference number are required to guarantee appointments. It is possible to access this information from the ‘Order History’ tab on the UEFA Ticket Portal.
