Max Kruse’s new team is BSV Al-Dersimspor

--

Four months after ending his professional career, former German national football player Max Kruse is preparing to train with BSV Al-Dersimspor, one of the regional league teams.

The experienced name of the offensive line will play his first official match with his new team this Sunday against Spandauer Kickers III team in the third week match of Kreisliga A. BSV Al-Dersimspor coach Güven Akpolat confirmed to BILD newspaper that the experienced player will be in the starting eleven.

Max Kruse will not be able to wear No. 10, his favorite number on the team; because this number has been given to another player. However, he will take the field as team captain on Sunday.

Nutella fan Kruse, who has recently been on the agenda with his excess weight, said, “I am currently 99.4 kilos. I hope Dersimspor has red and white XXL jerseys in its product range.” he said.

A CASE OF BEER, HOOKAH IS PROHIBITED

On the other hand, as a tradition in Germany, new players are expected to bring a case of beer to their first match. Akpolat said that although Kruse did not drink alcohol, he would bring a case of beer for his teammates.

However, it was stated that Kruse was strictly prohibited from bringing a hookah into the locker room.

Kruse also has to comply with club regulations. According to the rules set within the team, he must pay 10 Euros to the team coffers every time he is late for training. Additionally, Kruse is expected to contribute 150 Euros annually to the club.

Additionally, Kruse’s transfer aroused great interest. According to Akpolat, a day after Kruse announced that he would join the team, a large number of Union Berlin fans gathered at the training ground.

Explaining how the transfer took place, Akpolat said:

I’m part of Max’s circle of friends. We have a mutual friend and met in 2020. After Max left SC Paderborn in November, I jokingly said that he could now move to Dersimspor. Then in January he came to me and said he wanted to play football with us and was eager to play.

HE LEAVED FENERBAHÇE WITH AN EVENT

Max Kruse, who was transferred to Fenerbahçe in the 2020-21 season, had an eventful separation with the yellow-dark blue team.

The German football player, who unilaterally terminated his contract on the grounds that his salary was not paid, had the right to receive compensation from Fenerbahçe after filing a lawsuit against FIFA.
