CHP Chairman Özgür Özel President in his interview with Sabah newspaper before the holiday Tayyip Erdogan He said he could meet face to face. They talked on the phone during the holiday, and drank tea together with other party leaders and managers at the reception in the Parliament on April 23. Ozel and Erdogan will meet next week and have a one-on-one conversation. Since Özel shared his request for a meeting with the public, I have talked to various sources on this issue and written articles expressing my thoughts. Yesterday, one of the respected names of politics and social democracy in Turkey Murat Karayalçın I talked to him on the phone. He told me that he thought it was right for CHP Chairman Özel to meet with the President and listed the main reasons for this as follows:

Murat Karayalçın-Özgür Özel

Debts taken over by CHP municipalities

“In many places, CHP mayors who took over from AKP municipalities faced a huge debt. A significant part of these debts are debts to the state, SSI and tax debts to the Ministry of Finance. The government saw these debts as an additional resource-loan and did not crack down on those who did not pay. However, now they may want to quickly collect this money. They may want to pressure CHP municipalities. It may be desired that discussing this issue should be kept out of politics in serving the public.

Treasury guarantee, not money, is required:

Most projects of CHP municipalities do not have resource problems. Because they are the right projects and they are affordable, loans can be found under favorable conditions in many places around the world. But for this, the central authority, the Treasury, must provide a guarantee. For this reason, a justified request is submitted.

Cooperation is a must for urban transformation:

There are many provinces in Turkey, especially Istanbul, that are expecting an earthquake. Here, the central government and local government have an obligation to work together in terms of decision-making and implementation. There is no distinction between parties when human life is at stake. This situation is a priority.

Constitutional process-state reason:

The constitution making process is important. In this regard, a process can be carried out by listening to each other and taking the opinions of wider segments of society. There are decisions of the Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights that are not complied with. The loss of rights is obvious. “A common state mind beyond parties can be built here.”

This is what Murat Karayalçın said with the main headings. Each of these are issues to consider. CHP managers will take these notes into consideration.

Meanwhile…

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel’s attendance at the Çorlu Train Massacre case and his solidarity with the families there were extremely important. First Misra Öz All families’ demands for justice were met, at least partially, by enduring the pressures and lawsuits filed against them. Turkey; Those who strive not only for themselves, but also to make the country freer and more fair, despite the pain they experience, will take it to a point. Özgür Özel’s departure; His stance, his emphasis on families rather than himself, his solidarity and being the voice of the people are more important and realistic than all political moves…
