“The Movie Critic” would be the last film of Tarantino, who said he wanted to end his career with ten films, and would star Brad Pitt, who won an Oscar for the director’s film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Not much information has been shared about the film, which is known to tell a story set in the 70s about a fictional film critic working for a sleazy porn magazine.

Ideas Tarantino wanted to implement in the film included seeing the director’s previous films exist in the same reality as the new film, allowing him to recast his famous characters for “movie within a movie” moments, or bringing back past favorite actors to portray fictional versions of themselves.

A more fantastical idea was to have figures from the director’s films interact with a character based on the young Tarantino.
