3 thousand 800 liters of fake olive oil were seized in Bursa

Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams started an investigation upon information that AA and M.A. would bring unbandrolled, illegally mixed olive oil from Aydın to Bursa.

After the technical and physical follow-up, the vehicle in which the two suspects came to Bursa was stopped by gendarmerie teams in Başköy District of Nilüfer district.

During the search of the vehicle, 3 thousand 800 liters of fake olive oil, an illegal mixture without banderoles and packed in plastic bottles, were seized. Olive oil was confiscated by the teams.

It was learned that the detained suspects were taken into custody for the crime of “producing foodstuffs that endanger human health”.
