DenizliFire in yarn factory in Turkey: 2 people affected by smoke
DENİZLİ – A fire broke out in the press machine in the factory producing cotton thread in Denizli. Two workers who noticed the smoke and intervened were hospitalized after being affected by the smoke.
The fire occurred in Bozburun District of Merkezefendi district. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in a factory producing cotton thread. Workers working in the factory on shift system noticed the smoke and wanted to intervene. On the one hand, the workers responding to the fire, on the other hand, notified the 112 Emergency Call Center. Fire crews were dispatched to the region upon notice and intervened in the fire. The fire was taken under control after a short intervention by the teams. It was seen that the factory was almost completely smoked due to the fire. Two workers who responded to the fire were affected by the smoke. While the two affected workers were sent to the hospital by ambulance, it was learned that their health condition was good.
It was learned that during the checks carried out by the fire brigade after the extinguishing and cooling efforts, they evaluated that the fire was caused by the press machine. The exact cause of the fire will be determined after investigations.
An investigation has been launched into the fire.
