According to Ercan; Tsunami waves can travel 50 to 300 meters inland and reach the coast within 4 to 20 minutes after the earthquake. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ercan’s predictions for the Aegean and Mediterranean regions are as follows: An earthquake can produce waves up to 1 to 3.5 meters, and the escalation height of the waves can reach 5.5 meters. The time for waves that have the potential to move 100 to 2500 meters inland to reach the shore is 5 to 30 minutes.
