The Police Department continued its practices to ensure public order and security in the city center between 17 – 24 April 2024.
Within the scope of the duties carried out by the units affiliated to the Public Order Branch Directorate of the Police Department; As a result of the shocking applications and investigations and studies carried out on suspicion, 43 stationary-moving and public places were carried out in the city center, and 20 coffee houses, 13 cafes, 22 tea houses, 5 game halls and 5 car parks were checked.
While 2,589 people were questioned during the practices, 6 wanted people were caught, 16 firearms (7 unlicensed pistols, 5 blank firing pistols, 4 rifles), 9 cutting and piercing tools, 12 magazines, 145 cartridges (132 pistol cartridges and 13 hunting cartridges). ), 200 synthetic pharmaceutical substances, 10.48 grams of methamphetamine and 5 drug use devices were seized.
In the practices in which 597 vehicles were checked, an administrative fine of 190 thousand 417 liras was imposed on 15 vehicles and 5 vehicles were banned from traffic.
