KARS – An operation was carried out at 5 addresses against gun and historical artifact smugglers in Kars, with the participation of 15 teams and 60 gendarmes. A large number of weapons, ammunition and historical artifacts were seized during the operation.
In the intelligence studies carried out by the Kars Provincial Gendarmerie Command, an operation was organized by informing the judicial authorities in order to catch 5 people who were considered to be trading weapons and ammunition in Akyaka.
In the operation carried out simultaneously at 5 addresses in Akyaka, with the participation of 15 teams and 60 gendarmes; 6 pistols, 6 shotguns, 5 pistol magazines, 821 pistol ammunition, 67 shotgun cartridges, 1 brass knuckles, 1 necklace considered to be a historical artifact, 1 bell and 1 bowl were seized and preserved.
Regarding the incident, suspects FA, İ.T., DY, OI and Ş.Ö. He was detained. The gendarmerie proceedings against the 5 detained suspects are continuing.
