--

The trial of the defendant, who was sued for allegedly detaining a woman who came to her home in Bursa’s Osmangazi district, sexually assaulting her, wounding her with a gun, and killing her friend, continued.

At the hearing at the Bursa 4th High Criminal Court, “deliberate murder, killing with a monstrous feeling or by inflicting torture, deprivation of liberty by using force, threat or deceit, armed plunder against a person who is physically or mentally unable to defend himself, aggravated sexual assault.” The detained defendant İlyas Sarıkaya (50), who was sued for aggravated life imprisonment and up to 50 years of imprisonment for the crimes of “purchasing, carrying and possessing unlicensed firearms and bullets”, was present.

The complainant FO (44), the relatives of the murdered Recep Özaslan (47), the representative of the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the lawyers of the parties also attended the hearing.

Özkan D, who was heard as a witness, explained that he was a friend of the defendant’s brother and that they grew up together.

Özkan D stated that before the incident occurred, the defendant called him to his house saying that he would pay his debt, and then claimed that he watched sexually explicit images about him and put a gun to his head and said that he was going to kill him.

The witness, who stated that he saw the complainant lying down at home but could not ask about his condition because he was shy, stated that he was saved by saying that the defendant would find the image he claimed for him, and that he became aware of what was happening at home days later with the intervention of the police.

The complainant’s mother, AO, said that she had been living with her daughter for 11 years, and that her daughter had taken and lost her son’s watch before the incident, and that she had attempted to find it.

Stating that one day his daughter said that she would meet someone to find the watch, AO said that her daughter was then taken hostage in the house she went to and for a while news He stated that they could not get it.

Stating that later, her daughter sent her picture to the defendant and said that they would marry, AO said, “There is a procedure for this, it cannot be like this, come home.” My daughter was calling from the defendant’s phone from time to time and saying that she was fine. Again, one day, my daughter called and said that she needed money urgently. When I said ‘come and get it’, she came down the stairs. “He said he fell down and would send someone else. The defendant came by taxi, took money from me and left.” he said.

AO explained that on another day, her daughter secretly sent a message from the defendant’s phone saying that she had been shot, that there was a dead body in the house and that she wanted him to save her. Thereupon, they made a plan with the police to capture the defendant and her daughter was saved.

The public prosecutor requested that a criminal complaint be filed against the defendant to the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office on the charge of “looting the house with a gun” due to his action against the witness Özkan D and that his detention be continued.

Complainant FO, who stated that his complaint was still continuing, became ill after the hearing.

Announcing its decision, the court board postponed the hearing by deciding that the analysis of an interview with the complainant after the incident would be done by an expert, that a criminal complaint should be filed against the defendant for the crime of “looting the house with a gun” for his action against the witness Özkan D, and that his detention would continue.

The complainant’s lawyers, Elif Tuba Karakoç Tosun and Gizem Berceste Olgun, told the AA correspondent after the hearing that they would wait for the necessary time to obtain a definitive report regarding the complainant’s health condition and that it was decided to file a criminal complaint against the witness heard today, adding that they believed that the defendant would receive the punishment he deserved.
