23.2 percent of Sivas population are children

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) published the results of the “Child in Statistics” study for 2023.

According to the results of the 2023 Address-Based Population Registration System (ADNKS), 151 thousand 173 of the population in Sivas, where 650 thousand 401 people live, were children. 35 thousand 398 of the child population in the city was in the 0-4 age group, 43 thousand 11 in the 5-9 age group, 44 thousand 68 in the 10-14 age group, and 28 thousand 696 in the 15-17 age group.

While the rate of the child population in the total population in Turkey was announced as 26 percent, this rate was recorded as 23.2 percent in Sivas.
