Özölçer stated that communication performs many tasks such as transferring knowledge and culture, as well as giving individuals a social personality, and said:

“Especially in recent years, social developments in areas such as economy, education, health and technology and experiences that have a global impact have made the importance of communication and communication studies even more evident. Digital transformations in the 21st century, on the one hand, require serious changes in communication education, and on the other hand, communication “It requires the parties operating in the field to understand the requirements of this transformation in the best possible way and to reflect it in their practices.”

Zonguldak BEÜ Faculty of Communication Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Hamza Çeştepe also stated that communication is the key to existence in many matters such as sharing, learning and socializing, and said, “If there is a problem or conflict, even on the smallest issue, at both the individual and social levels, the reason is based on communication and the solution is therefore through communication.” he said.

Çeştepe added that communication has become a multidisciplinary field and studies on communication are gaining momentum.

Symposium Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Assoc. Dr. Tuğba Akdal thanked those who contributed to the organization of the symposium.

After the speeches, the symposium continued with sessions. The symposium, which brings together different disciplines on the basis of communication with the participation of national and international speakers, will end on April 26.
