Sheep thieves caught, 2 suspects arrested Ihlas News Agency

The teams, who took action upon the notice of ‘Animal Theft’ in Bilecik’s Söğüt district, detained 5 suspicious persons regarding the issue.

Söğüt District Police Department teams took action upon the notice of 5 sheep being stolen from the pen in the Dereboyu Küme Evleri area. In the investigation carried out; 3 suspicious persons named HK, AK and FY gave 2 of the 5 sheep they stole to a person named NK, and the other 3 sheep were given to I.K. It was determined that they sold it to a person named. The 5 stolen sheep were found and returned to their owner.

HK, one of the suspects, stated that he had an unlicensed blank firing gun and that the person named FC took his gun and did not give it back, and for this reason, they committed the incident together with 2 other suspects.

About suspicious persons; Legal proceedings were initiated within the scope of the crimes of ‘Animal Theft’, ‘Purchasing or Accepting Criminal Objects’ and ‘Firearms, Knives and Other Tools No. 6136’.

About 5 suspects referred to judicial authorities; I.K. and NK were released by the prosecutor’s office, the suspect named FY was released by the court on condition of judicial control, while HK and AK were arrested by the court and handed over to Bilecik M Type Closed Penal Institution.
