Rahmi Terzi, who spends his annual leave in his hometown Kahramanmaraş, where he was born and raised, fulfills his childhood nostalgia and works as a shepherd during the holiday, and on the other hand, he helps his family who continue their shepherd profession.
He took off his tie and put on his scarf and went to the mountains
Rahmi Terzi, 50, who has been the director of Aydın Employment Agency for 11 years and stated that he is a Yoruk at heart and that he spent his childhood as a shepherd, said that he relieved the fatigue and stress of his working life by herding sheep in the mountains. Stating that he had a very difficult but also enjoyable childhood, Terzi said, “During my childhood, I worked as a shepherd and studied at the same time. After graduating from Atatürk Faculty of Education, I started working as a teacher for a while and then as a manager at Aydın Employment Agency in 2013. I love my job. However, I also love shepherding, which was my childhood occupation and my ancestral profession. “Many people prefer to spend their holidays by the seaside and in hotels, but I spend my holiday this way because I enjoy welcoming the spring in the mountains, grazing the herd, putting on the scarf and spending the night in the mountains at the head of the herd,” he said.
