While handing over his office to the little mayor, Mayor Sekmen wished him success in his duty and said, “We handed over our Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality Mayor’s office to our daughter Nisa Tahtacı, 4th Grade Student of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Primary School, as her representation. In the program where Metropolitan Municipality administrators were also present, the instructions of the junior mayor attracted attention. Junior president Nisa Tahtacı requested that precautions be taken against stray dogs, as well as the afforestation of school gardens. Mayor Tahtacı said, “Our children and people must be protected first by placing stray dogs throughout the province in shelters.” Metropolitan Municipality officials said that the necessary work will be done for stray dogs as soon as possible in accordance with the instructions.
