Students of Of 28 February Primary School in Trabzon celebrated April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day by playing horon.
In Trabzon’s Of district, April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day events were held at the district stadium. Children playing horon in the celebrations, which featured colorful shows, added a different atmosphere to April 23. The primary school students trained by Of Public Education Folklore Instructor Nurcan Dereli and her father, vocal artist Dursun Dereli, in the horon course exhibited their talents. Other students created beautiful images at the April 23 celebrations, which attracted great interest from the people of the district.
Stating that they had a lot of fun at the events, the children congratulated all children on April 23, 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.

Stating that they have been preparing for April 23 with great effort since the beginning of the year, OF Public Education Folklore Instructor Nurcan Dereli said, “This year, we practiced the dances of the Trabzon region with a group of our students and the dances of the Artvin region with a separate group.
