Mersin University (MEU) Faculty of Communication students celebrated April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with sign language. Students who received sign language training within the scope of the Social Skills Education course translated the song “Today is April 23”, whose lyrics were written by Saip Egüz, into sign language. Within the framework of the project carried out to raise awareness for hearing-impaired individuals, the song was sung in sign language and recorded by the students under the guidance of Teacher and Translator Lecturer Yazbahar Çetin Doan and sign language translator Ece Ylgın. Students of the Faculty of Communication broke new ground with the social responsibility project they carried out within the scope of April 23 celebrations. (iha) |
