The incident took place on the ground floor of a 5-storey building located in Kemer Mahallesi 903 Street at around 21.00 yesterday.

For unknown reasons, a fire broke out on the ground floor of the building. Police and fire crews were dispatched to the scene.

While firefighters extinguished the fire in a short time, they found that a person was lying motionless in the flat.

The paramedics, who arrived at the scene, determined that the person was dead.

Police teams determined that this person was Muhammad Tahir Khan, 42, a Pakistani national and tied with a pig tie.

Crime scene investigation teams came to the address and examined the house.

It was claimed that the fire occurred when documents belonging to Khan were thrown on the electric heater.

Khan’s body was referred to the Forensic Medicine Institute. The police investigation into the incident continues. (DHA)
