The Panama-flagged ship, whose machinery malfunctioned in the Dardanelles, was towed to the Dark Harbor anchorage area accompanied by a tugboat.
The engines of the 180-meter-long ship named “Deniz M”, which was going from Djibouti to Istanbul, broke down off the Bademlik location. After the captain of the ship reported the situation to the Çanakkale Strait Ship Traffic Services Directorate by radio, the tugboat “Rescue-13” of the General Directorate of Coastal Safety was dispatched to the region. In addition, the captains of other ships in the same position were informed about the malfunction. Accompanied by the pilot and tugboat, the ship was taken to the Dark Harbor anchorage area and anchored.
