Swiss chocolate company Patiswiss AG made a statement regarding the Patiswiss brand, which is on the agenda in Turkey, following the ‘moldy chocolate’ discussions and the statements of Chairman Elif Aslı Yıldız Tunaoğlu.

A user on LinkedIn shared photos showing that the Patiswiss brand chocolates he bought from the supermarket were moldy and mentioned that there was a problem in the supply chain process, which sparked a huge debate in the past weeks.

Following the sarcastic and harsh response of Patiswiss Chairman Elif Aslı Yıldız Tunaoğlu, who responded to the user’s post on Linkedin, the incident quickly spread to social media and Tunaoğlu received harsh reactions.

Large markets such as Migros and Carrefour decided to withdraw the products following the developments.
