Unilever announced that 5 series of products will be recalled due to the risk that Magnum almond ice creams sold in the UK and Ireland may contain plastic and metal. According to this decision taken by the UK-based fast-moving consumer company Unilever, Magnum’s almond ice creams sold in 100 grams and 3-packs will be urgently recalled due to the potential presence of plastic and metal. Consumers who purchased the product were warned “do not eat”.
In the statement made on the website of the Food Standards Agency (FSA), it was stated that the products in question were “unsafe for food” and warned that they may contain plastic and metal parts. Unilever will reportedly issue point-of-sale notices in all retail stores selling these products.
It was stated that in the UK and Ireland, ice cream boxes with batch codes L3338, L3339, L3340, L3341, L3342 and the Best Before Date of 12/2025 were affected. However, there has been no official statement from Unilever officials in Turkey yet.
Products affected by the recall:
100 grams Magnum Almond Ice Cream
Magnum Almond Ice Cream sold in a pack of 3
Products with batch codes L3338, L3339, L3340, L3341, L3342
Products with an expiration date of 12/2025
The recall currently only covers the UK and Ireland. An official statement has not yet been made about whether these products are sold in Turkey and whether the recall includes Turkey.
