“Experimental Typography Exhibition” of Trakya University Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Department students was opened at Mimar Kemaleddin Exhibition Hall. Curated by Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. In the exhibition organized by Semih Oduncu, students’ 3D experimental works on different themes were presented to art lovers.

At the exhibition, one of the students, Semih Aydoğan’s work, in which he created the text “Boom” from matches to represent the nervous state that occurs after people’s momentary anger, attracted attention. While the participants were visiting the exhibition, Aydoğan lit the matches in his work and conveyed the message he wanted to give to those who visited the exhibition. The burning matches were then extinguished with water.

In his speech, Oduncu said that the students pushed the limits of their imagination and produced beautiful works and said, “This is the most important feature that distinguishes experimental typography from traditional typography. Our students also demonstrated their creativity at this point. It was reflected in 3D using different materials. The works reflect the passions, efforts and learning of the students.” “There are reflections of the processes.” said.

Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Melihat Tüzün and Head of Graphic Design Department Prof. Dr. Ali Muhammet Bayraktaroğlu also congratulated the students for their successful work. The exhibition can be visited throughout the week.
