French journalist: Watch what happens at the Turkish-Greek border in a few hours
--

French journalist J. Christophe Buisson on his Twiiter account: “Watch what happens in Thrace, on the Turkish-Greek border on the Meriç river, in a few hours. Armies are on alert, trenches are being built,” he shared. After this post, which received a lot of interaction, a statement from the Ministry of National Defense has not been made yet.

Here is that tweet:

HASAN ÜNAL’S EVALUATION
Evaluating this statement of the French journalist on his Twitter account, Malptepe University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Hasan Unal made the following evaluations:
“-J. Christophe Buisson, co-editor of Le Figaro, says that Turkish and Greek forces have taken up combat positions on both sides of the Evros river and that the conflict is almost imminent. Other messages with this content are also shared.
-Despite the borderless nature of Greek/Greek fanaticism and the lack of rationality, I am in favor of meeting this with caution, for now, because the probability of America driving Greece over Turkey in such a period is slim. The odds of getting results from this are much slimmer.
-In the multipolar world order we live in, such a conflict deepens the rift within NATO. Depending on the behavior of other countries, it might lead Ankara or Athens to stop Finland/Sweden’s accession agreements. It would be a great loss of power and prestige for NATO.
– If Greece planned it alone, the timing is wrong. Maybe he thought that if TR entered into an armed conflict with Turkey in 2020, it would be dragged into conflict with Egypt, Libya and Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean and would not be able to use all its power against Greece.
“Greece knows that in a Turkey-Greece war that will break out now, Greece will be alone against Turkey and will suffer great losses, especially in the Eastern Aegean Islands, and that the war will even spread to Cyprus and result in great losses to its detriment there.”
