The thief who stole 5 motorcycles in Adana in 3 months became a victim of theft. The suspect, who had someone else steal the motorcycle he stole, defended himself by saying, “I stole and sold the motorcycles to cover the lawyer expenses of an acquaintance of mine.”
The incident took place in Adana’s Seyhan district on April 15, around 19.30. Suspect Süleyman H. (21) and his unnamed accomplice decided to steal Ömer Ö.’s parked motorcycle. While Süleyman H. was trying to ignite the motorcycle, his friend stood watch with the excuse of talking on his mobile phone. The suspects, ignoring the sound of the alarm, got on the motorcycle they started and fled the area. Those moments were reflected on the security camera.
Upon the notice of Ömer Ö., who could not find his motorcycle, the Auto Theft Bureau teams started an investigation into the incident. It was determined that Süleyman H., identified from security camera footage, stole 5 more motorcycles within 3 months. The suspect, whose address was determined, was caught while walking on the street in Dağlıoğlu District of Seyhan district. Süleyman H., who was taken to the police, said in his statement: “After stealing the motorcycle, we went to a restaurant to eat something. After getting up from the table, we saw that the motorcycle was stolen. “I stole and sold the previous motorcycles to pay the lawyer fees of an acquaintance of mine,” he said.
Süleyman H., who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station, was arrested by the court. While the stolen motorcycles were not found, it was reported that efforts to capture the fugitive suspect were continuing.
