After a technical malfunction occurred in the Airbus A320 type passenger plane belonging to Ural Airlines, which took off from Sochi, the captain pilot diverted the plane to an airport in the Novosibirsk region.
However, realizing that the plane could not reach the airport, the pilot made an emergency landing in a field. No one was harmed among the total 167 people on the plane.
It was announced that the plane would be removed from the field later. However, this plan did not come true and it was decided to dismantle the aircraft.
PILOT WAS DISMISSED
It was revealed that the hero of the incident, captain pilot Eduard Semenov, was fired by Ural Airlines and the pilot was working as a taxi driver.
Russian media had announced that the passenger plane first requested to land at Novosibirsk Airport for technical reasons, and then the plane landed in a field.
Both the first and second pilots of the plane withstood the company’s pressure.
HE WAS FORCED TO RESIGN
Ural Airlines invited the cockpit crew of the plane that landed in the field at the end of 2023 to resign. However, both pilots of the aircraft rejected this request. The company terminated the employment of two pilots.
Thus, the pilot received his reward for saving the lives of 167 people, including the total crew, by being fired.
The plane remained in the field for days.
