Woman who drank coffee from an airport vending machine went into anaphylactic shock

A woman working at Palma de Mallorca Airport, whose identity information was not disclosed, went into anaphylactic shock after drinking coffee from a vending machine.

The woman said that she noticed that the coffee tasted strange after a few sips, and that when she looked into the coffee, she saw a swarm of insects.

The young woman, whose face was swollen and short of breath within minutes, was taken to the hospital after adrenaline and first aid treatments were administered by the airport staff. The family of the woman, who was in intensive care for 36 hours, filed a complaint against the airport, saying that the presence of insects in the coffee machine was a major crime against public health.

It was also claimed that the maintenance of the machine, which was stated to be out of service, was inadequately maintained by the airport staff.

The airport management announced that it had launched an investigation into the issue.
