At the weekly press briefing of the Ministry of National Defense, developments regarding training-exercise activities and international missions were also discussed.
In this context, it was stated that NATO will conduct NEPTUNE STRIKE activity in Albania within the scope of Enhanced Vigilance Activities between 26 April and 10 May, and SPANISH MINEX-2024 exercises in Spain within the scope of Mine Operation training between 29 April and 10 May.
The Anatolian Task Group will participate for the first time in the NEPTUNE STRIKE activity between 26-30 April, under the leadership of TCG Anadolu.
The Anatolian Task Group consists of TCG Anadolu, TCG Salihreis, TCG Büyükada, 2 AH-1W attack helicopters, 2 SH-70 general purpose helicopters, 1 company landing team, 4 mechanized landing vehicles, 8 armored amphibious assault vehicles, and various armored vehicles. There will be amphibious elements, 150 personnel and 3 AS-532 Cougar general purpose helicopters affiliated with the Land Forces Command.
