The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted harshly to the human rights report published by the USA every year for all countries of the world.
Rejecting the criticism brought by the US side regarding Turkey’s democracy and law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “Our country remains committed to the principles of democracy, human rights and the rule of law, despite the multifaceted and severe terrorist threats it faces.”
“It is impossible to understand the USA’s insistence on baseless claims”
The written statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is as follows:
“The “2023 Human Rights Report”, published by the US Department of State on April 22, 2024 and containing sections on nearly 200 countries, includes unfounded claims, unrealistic information and prejudiced comments against our country, as in previous years.
