While Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip have been continuing for 200 days, Abu Ubeyde, Spokesperson of Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, made a statement. Ubeide stated that “the enemy has achieved nothing but death and destruction” in the war that has been going on for 200 days in the Gaza Strip, and said that Israel is “still trying to recover and improve its image.”
Ubeida said, “The enemy is in a swamp, stuck in the sands of Gaza. He will achieve nothing but shame and defeat. 200 days have passed and our resistance in Gaza is as solid as the mountains of Palestine.”
Emphasizing that they will continue resistance and attacks as long as Israel’s attacks continue, Ubeyde said, “The occupation forces are trying to convince the world that they have eliminated all resistance groups, and this is a big lie.”
Stating that Hamas will not give up its demands for the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip, the lifting of the siege and the return of the displaced to their homes, Ubeyde said, “The enemy is trying to break the promises it made in the negotiations and is trying to gain time.”
Ubeyde also warned that “time is short and opportunities are few” regarding the captives.
