On the day of the incident, Özal Demiray, who was aiding and abetting Ağbay, was caught by the police in Esenyurt and taken into custody. The police continue to work for the arrest of Yahya Karakışlak, the instigator of the incident, and Orhan Ağbay, who carried out the attack.
