DIAGNOSIS OF ANXIETY AND CLINICAL DEPRESSION

Law enforcement in Vancoouver said Grantham has been in custody for the past two and a half years and has been participating in a mental health program since his arrest.

During the trial, his lawyers argued that he struggled with anxiety and clinical depression and expressed a desire to kill himself and harm others in the months leading up to his mother’s death.

Grantham will not be able to apply for parole during the first 14 years of his life sentence.
