Adobe, one of the companies that comes to mind when it comes to artificial intelligence, announced that it has developed a new generative model called “VideoGigaGAN” in an article published last week. The model can make low quality videos turn into high quality.

According to Webtekno, quality improvement technologies are generally advanced. They are especially useful for visuals and can produce good results. However, it is not possible to tell this in the videos. When done on videos, undesirable elements may appear. While Adobe says VideoGigaGAN will eliminate this, it adds that we won’t see the “AI weirdness” in the results. It also claims to be superior to other Video Super Resolution (VSR) methods available today.

EDITING LOW QUALITY VIDEOS

We can see in the sample images shared by the company that these claims may be true. VideoGigaGAN takes poor quality grainy videos and converts them into HD images. It is noteworthy that distortions or flickering in the results are minimized.

VideoGigaGAN is currently in preview stage and is still being developed. We don’t yet know if the company will make the model widely available. We’ll have to wait to see if he shows up.

On the other hand, this is not the first time the company has demonstrated such a technology. Last year, it introduced Project Res-Up, which improves the quality of low-resolution GIFs and videos.
