It was reported that a new official vehicle was purchased for Erbaş, and with the new vehicle, the number of official vehicles available to the President of Religious Affairs increased to six.

NOT IN THE FLEET NONE

It was claimed that the Audi A6, which was available for Erbaş’s use, was purchased through the Diyanet Foundation subsidiaries and allocated to the presidential office. With the Audi A6, the number of Ali Erbaş’s official vehicles increased to six, and the brands and models of the vehicles were listed as follows:

• Three passenger Mercedes, one of which is armored.

• One red TOGG

LOVE OF CARS

Erbaş’s “love of vehicles” came to the fore for the first time in 2020. BirGün’s news included the following:

The luxury vehicle, purchased by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for 1.5 million TL during the AKP period, was allocated to the Istanbul Provincial Mufti’s Office for the use of the muftis in the city. It was stated that the vehicle, which was learned to be an Audi A8 Long brand, was also used by the President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş, during his trips to Istanbul. Allegedly, President of Religious Affairs Erbaş, who liked the vehicle worth 1.5 million TL, wanted the vehicle to be towed to Ankara. The vehicle was sent back to IMM after the municipality changed hands in the local elections on March 31, 2019.
