Presidential Bicycle Tour arrangement in public transportation and traffic

Izmir will host the 59th Presidential Bicycle Tour of Turkey on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. The roads on the race route will be closed to traffic by UKOME decision. Due to the organization, changes were made in the schedules of some ESHOT lines and Konak and Karşıyaka trams operated by İzmir Metro A.Ş.
The 6th and 7th stage routes of the 59th Presidential Turkey Cycling Tour, which started in Antalya and will end in Istanbul on April 28, will pass through Aydın, Izmir and Manisa. In accordance with the decision of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME), the roads on the race route in Izmir will be closed to traffic on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. For this reason, there will be mandatory changes in the timetables of some ESHOT lines and Konak and Karşıyaka trams.

Buses with line numbers 435, 543, 330 and 921 will make their last stop at Bahriye Üçok instead of Bostanlı İskele.

Buses line numbers 330 and 543; Bahriye Üçok Son Durak will serve on its existing routes after Girne Street, Yeni Kyrenia, Izmir Ring Road (Bayraklı Tunnels), Captain İbrahim Hakkı Street and Manas Boulevard.

Buses with line numbers 126, 135, 136, 137, 197, 222, 258, 326, 487, 847 and 853 will make their final stop at Bahriye Üçok instead of Karşıyaka İskele.

The bus with line number 777 will make its last stop at Bostanlı Pier instead of Karşıyaka Pier.

Saturday, April 27 tram plan
Karşıyaka Tram services will be held on the sea side line between Ataşehir Junction and Bostanlı İskele stops on Saturday, April 27, between 06.00 – 19.00. Konak Tramway will not be able to provide service between 06-00 – 19.00.

Choose Metro and İZBAN
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department officials stated that it would be appropriate for citizens to choose Izmir Metro and İZBAN services in order to avoid any inconvenience.
