TFFHGD Headquarters published a statement regarding the appointment of foreign observers and foreign VAR referees.
It was stated that the appointment procedures implemented in the Super League in the past weeks were opposed.
Here is that statement;
“National values are among the fundamental values that make a nation a nation. Elements such as homeland, flag, culture, language, anthem, our geography, our Turkish people, etc. constitute our national values. National values are the ones that keep the nation and society together and make them live together happily, These are the values that enable people to live peacefully and safely. The protection of these values, which have been accumulated over hundreds of years, means the protection of the society. They are the basic mortar of the culture of living together that will enable a nation to live for hundreds of years, and these values are solid and inseparable. It needs to protect its national values together.
In this context, we, as the Headquarters of the Active Football Referees and Observers Association of Turkey, would like to emphasize that our own values should be protected in the world where the power of the Turks comes to the fore in every field, and we would like to state that we are against the practice of foreign observers and foreign VAR referees that have started to be implemented in our leagues. We would like to point out to the managers who serve in our federation and its boards that the trust in Turkish people at management levels in our country is important, and we have full confidence that they will perform these duties in the best way possible when all our members, from the top league to the bottom league, are given the necessary value in our country of 85 million people.
We would like to state that we have started working since the announcement of the election results in order to implement all the projects we promised in our launch before the Headquarters elections. “We would like to state that, no matter who supports us or not, we will fight in every field to ensure that our referees, observers and mentors, whom we manage, reach the best positions they deserve, and that we will be in contact with all levels of the state and the football federation and its boards.”
