WHO IS MEHMET IŞIKAL?

Mehmet Işıkal (Papi Mehmet) was born in 1941.

Işıkal started his career in the amateur team of Istanbul Hürriyetspor.

In 1960, he was transferred to Bursa Acar İdmanspor.

After playing for one more year as an amateur, he joined Izmirspor in 1962.

He played for Izmirspor for 6 months and then went to the military and played for Izmir Karagücü team.

Papi Mehmet, who was transferred to Feriköy after completing his military service, was transferred to Göztepe, where he became a legend, in 1966.

Işıkal, who played in the Izmir team for about 10 years, left football here.
