The English Premier League was shaken when two football players were detained on rape charges.

According to the news in The Sun, it was stated that both football players were 19 years old and played for the same club.
It was noted that one of the players was detained on charges of aiding and abetting assault and rape and spent a night in a cell after being interrogated. It was stated that the other 19-year-old player was questioned on suspicion of rape the next day.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
It was stated that the young players are currently free on bail, but the investigation continues.
A source told The Sun: “Polices arrested two people following a report of rape. A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and aiding and abetting rape. The other man was arrested on suspicion of rape. Both were released on bail.”
Another source who spoke to The Sun said that after the tip-off, the police came to the club where the players were wearing their jerseys and met with one of the two players in a private room in the stadium. A club spokesman also noted that the incident is currently entirely in the hands of the police and that they will not comment on the matter.
