UEFA Nations League | France won, got rid of the last place

In the 1st Group of the UEFA Nations A League, France hosted Austria at the Stade de France.

Austria, who had their third defeat in the group, had 4 points. In order not to be relegated to the B League, Austria will beat Croatia in the last match of the group and wait for France to lose points.

Croatia took the lead

In another match in the group, Croatia faced Denmark. While neither team could break the tie in the first 45 minutes, Borna Sosa took Croatia forward in the 49th minute.

Denmark equalized the score with Christian Eriksen in the 77th minute, while Croatia regained the lead with Lovro Majer 2 minutes after the goal.

Croatia won the match 2-1, making it 10 points and rising to the leadership before the last matches. Denmark, who had their second defeat in the group, dropped to second place while remaining 9 points.

Croatia will be the guest of Austria in the last week of UEFA Nations A League 1st Group. Denmark will host France.
