The incident took place around 10.30 in a jewelery shop located on İkitelli Street in Küçükçekmece Atatürk District. According to the information obtained, 3 people entered the jeweler and tried to take the gold in the display case. The jeweler was injured by the gun handle while trying to stop the suspects. While the suspects, who took some of the gold in the display case, tried to escape from the scene, the jeweler fired repeatedly.
One of the suspects was caught by the surrounding people. The suspect, who was hit with a chair, was tried to be lynched after being laid on the ground. The other two suspects fled the scene. Police teams started an operation to catch the suspects.
ONE IN 3 THIEVES WAS NEUTRALIZED BY CITIZENS
Turan Şeker, who saw the incident, said, “Three thieves entered the jeweler. They were robbing the shop. While a thief broke the window and went out, the citizens neutralized him. Two people fired and ran away. Then the police came. There were bullet casings on the floor. They put the bracelets on the counter into a bag and took them away.”
SECURITY CAMERA IMAGES ARE EMERGED
Security camera footage of what happened in front of the jewelry store was revealed. In the footage, one of the three robbers is caught in front of the door and beaten, while the shopkeeper chases the other two robbers with a gun, using a chair. Seeing the shopkeeper approaching, 2 robbers quickly move away.
