The new movie “Challengers” by Luca Guadagnino, director of “Call Me By Your Name”, “Suspiria” and “Bones and All”, was released today!

“Euphoria” and “Dune” star Zendaya plays the character of Tashi, who starts her coaching career after having to quit tennis and finds herself in a love triangle in the process.

After her own tennis career ends, Tashi transforms her husband Art from an average tennis player into a famous professional who wins tournament after tournament. But no success is permanent, and when Art’s career takes a hit, Tashi enters him into the “Challenger” tournament, which takes place at a relatively lower level.

Tashi, who aims for Art to achieve a few victories and gain self-confidence here, encounters something he never expected. Art’s rival is Patrick, who was once his best friend and Tashi’s ex-lover! Tensions rise as their pasts and futures collide. What will it cost for Tashi to win?

In the film, Art will be played by Mike Faist, who broke out in “West Side Story”, while “God’s Country” and “The Crown” star Josh O’Connor will portray Patrick.

Guadagnino wrote the film’s script with Justin Kuritzkes and is producing with Amy Pascal. The film’s soundtrack was composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
