Ardahan String Cheese was registered by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office

Ardahan string cheese was registered as a geographical indication by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

Türkiye is a unique geography in terms of cheese diversity. Every region in the country where animal husbandry is developed has its own cheese. ‘Hanak String Cheese’, one of the first flavors that comes to mind when Ardahan is mentioned, was registered as a geographically indicated product by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office.

According to the statement made by Ardahan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turkish Patent and Trademark Office President Prof. Dr. Zeki Durak delivered the geographical indication registration certificate to Ardahan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Çetin Demirci.

Ardahan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Çetin Demirci said, “We received a geographical indication registration under the name of Hanak tel cheese. In the coming period, our attempts to obtain geographical indication registration for different commercial products of our city will continue.” – ARDAHAN
