An unidentified person or persons damaged the inverted tulips, which offer a visual feast and have an average lifespan of 20 days, with a knife in Yüksekova district of Hakkari, causing a reaction.
Inverted tulips, popularly known as ‘crying bride’ or ‘flower of sadness’, have started to bloom generally in the eastern region. Inverted tulips, which bloom as the weather gets warmer, attract great attention from nature lovers and photographers. Journalist Ferhat Yiğit, who went to report on the flower, which can live for 20 days a year and is under protection, was shocked by what he saw yesterday.
